What I pre-planned

• figure out more watch face binary quirks
• work stuff
  • custom lgtm stack, grafana dashboards
• work on bhai
  • better transcription tuning
  • diarization

What new did I learn

• making grafana dashboards is so easy using AI given all data points
• a good architecture can only take as far as the pieces themselves can max
• there is a really heavy duty tax and convinience fee for deliveries from US which they don’t mention anywhere
• i really like ninajirachi music
• storyboarder by wonder unit, really good application
• twitter with auto translate is really good and opens up a lot of people on both sides
• learnt about work of nandan nilekani, and the overall digital india growth with aadhar, upi and stuff
  • the majority don’t understand the scale at which these people work and pass negative opinions about companies, people and their contribution

Where/How did I implement it

• tried to create a storyboard for a music video i had in mind
  • failed hard, its really difficult to get the vision out there in any way other than text
• got the audio bff board and nfc cards delivered from america
  • had to pay 4x the base amount of the items worth just to get it shipped and taxed
  • spent the weekend on some really fun soldering of the board with my ble sense chip
    • lots of small solders, my first complete in a way pcb soldering completed for entire project

  • background work is really good
  • transcription tuning also went well and got decent results
  • still not satisfied for real world use cases tho, so moving on to inference based benchmarking and testing
  • same for diarization, not accurate at all for local inference

Any memorable moments of the week

• real good soldering work and experience for bhai
• some good bandminton played, good reflexes
• nfc card is ready, need to make it cool now
