Week 88

What I pre-planned

• catch up on work after vacation
• bhai rethink about issues and possible solutions
• wisdom get more content out
• reverse engineer watch progress

What new did I learn

• support work is a major headache in maintaining a tool
• doing work is easier than making sure others know what you did
  • I feel the urge to solve this somehow
• rainbows are cones
• pretext launched, everyone went crazy, I felt its potential so experimented early on
  • it is not just about this one problem that cheng leo solved, its about what is possible
• found out a banger old song techno remix - the ketchup song techno rave remix
• lots of good insights on how my watch communicates with phone, simulating with laptop

Where/How did I implement it

• posted some nice stories on instagram for trip
• bhai
  • reunderstood my current pipeline
  • made it much simpler from scratch to improve accuracy a lot
  • improved speaker diarization accuracy and logic
  • added support for gujarati and testing apk biuld again
    • seems like background detection and processing needs some work
• actually got the simulation of watch face transfer to work and uploaded a custom watchface
  • editing the watchface and uploading is tricky and currently working on decoding binary bit by bit
• built some fun experiments with pretext
  • text in svg studio might be actually useful to designers
  • freiren demo was the best and most satisfying to build

Any memorable moments of the week

• project hail mary is a really nice feel good movie
  • not as thrilling as expected but still very good
• summer fest was good. team lunch for subhash k farewell also
• told varun mayya about my intent to join aeos later, he seems interested
• lpg gas ran out mid cooking so ate random stuff haha. booked cylinder
